My son received it because the pediatrician was recommending here in Buffalo. Days later tired, weeks later hip/knee pain, months later SLE Lupus. The ruhemy won't say how many new cases of SLE she has. She wont say how many had the vaccine, nor can you find the info anywhere.

They all know there is a problem, and won't let the information flow. How can they find a fix, if they won't even look to see a connection. Unless your a surgeon, doctors are useless.

my hospital is forcing me to get the flu vac or wear a scarlet letter telling everyone i am unclean... IF i do take the vac... i will also sign the permission with a note stating i am under duress ( and threat of loosing my job) to take this vac and if i should come down with the flu or gb disease it is the hopitals responsibility to care for me under these conditions and for the rest of my life if i get gb disease... it is an on the job injury... thank you

It is now 2012 , and it is mandatory in the state of NY and GA to have mandatory flu shots for health care workers. Wow, is this still America? The vaccine hasn't been out long enough to test long term side effects. I get so upset when I see people giving their children this shot. Im not anti-government but this is going too far....

I really don't think you have a right to call this a scare tactic. You, above all being in the medical field, should know that the swine flu is merely hype. It is more contagious and slightly more severe but very survivable. Plus, being secretive about the vaccine is something I dislike. If you stay hydrated if you get it, you should be OK.

I had the shot on Tuesday, after much pressuring by my medical employer. I wish I had stuck with my first thought which was to leave well alone. I get the winter shot every year and the H1N1 virus in in it. The swine flu is H1N1v. a sub group.Tuesday evening my arm started hurting and I had nausea.Wednesday morning i had a local reaction the size of a saucer on my arm. it was hot, swollen red and very painfull.Thursday the swelling had increased and I felt tiredToday. sunday, the swelling has reduced somewhat, but is still very red and painfull, I need to take analgesia 4hrly. I still feel unwell, and have a sore throat,I wish I had continued to say NO. but its too late.

Got the h1n1 vaccine Feb 8, 2010. Ended up in hospital with facial paralysis, tremors, nerve pain, muscle twitches, and dysphagia. 4 months later the problems have not resolved. Getting the shot was the worst decision I ever made. Be ye warned.

I got the vaccine and within 12 hours began feeling sick. I had a headache with throbbing, chills, fever, fatigue, a little bit of a sore throat and soreness where i got the injection. That continued overnight to the next day and i had troubles sleeping.

I received the flu vaccine in late October since having the shot. Each month I have had a serious bout of Flu! This last bout has caused me to not only go through 2 different high powered antibiotics Levoquin at 750 mlg. and clyndimicyn 650 mlg. Every 6 hours. I now have pain in most of my muscles. I am also asthmatic so my respiratory issues have been compounded. I have been seen at an urgent clinic twice and the hospital ED twice. I am exhausted and achy all over. I hope this does not continue. Any suggestions

7 years ago I was working at the hospital as an O.B. Technician and flu season was coming around and the hospital offered the staff a free flu vaccine. Since I didn't want to "Possibly" get sick and pass it to patients I decided to get the shot. A couple weeks later I had a rash on my chest. A week or two after that my right toe went numb, few days later my left toe. Over a few weeks it was up to my waist and I was almost paralized. I had millions of tests done trying to find out what was wrong with me. Finally they discovered I had Transverse Myelitis which is caused from a virus. It eats away at the myelin sheath covering your spinal cord. I had numbness and tingling, weakness, leg pain, spasms, ect. If they wouldn't have found it in time to put me on I.V. steriods for a week I would be paralized today from the waste down. Two years later the Transverse Myelitis turned into Multiple Sclerosis. So now I have plaques or "scars" on my spinal cord from the flu shot virus and I have almost a dozen now in my brain. They also found I have Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy that became aggravated from the M.S which I may not have suffered alot from if it wasn't for the M.S. bringing it out. You wouldn't believe all the suffering I go through because of that flu shot. I can't work anymore, I walk with a cane, suffer terrible cramps and pain every day, my balance is bad, I drop several things a day, my memory is bad, my legs get weak and sometimes numb or tingly (the initial steroids got rid of alot of the numbness but there is no cure for M.S. or M.M.D.) and I'll be lucky to make it to the age of 50 (I'm now 38). I have a ton more symptoms that make life miserable but my fingers are getting numb so I'm not going to add them all. I never had a cold or anything that year just the rash after the shot so I know it was the flu shot that caused it. Never again will I get a vaccination. Besides it's usually the secondary bacterial infection that kills you not the flu. Your better off getting a pneumonia shot which lasts 5 years and protects you from dozens of different types of pneumonia. Wish I would have done that instead!

I'm sorry but that just isn't completely true. Flu shots almost never have any side effect and if they do its very minor. Flu shots are the most important step people can take. WHile its true that vaccines are made each year focused on the strain they think will be most likely, they usually will still provide some protection against the other strains. AND if 95% of people got the vaccine, the "pool" in which the regular flu could bounce around in, potentially mutating with each replication, is dramatically reduced. Please get your flu shot each and every year! And don't be embarrased to wear a face mask, the Japanese do it and it dramatically helps reduce transmission. Thanks!

If you don't want it, do not get it. As a pharmacist, I am familiar with the adverse effects of many drugs, including vaccinations. No job or paycheck is worth spending the rest of my life unable to walk and function like a normal human being. The risk is 1 in a million. Just hope you are not that 1. People need to re-discover their balls and backbones and realize we are free-thinking human beings, not sheep.

Hubby and me had the swine flu shot last year here in UK and until this time we're still both suffering from excruciating shoulder and arm pain unrelieved by physiotheraphy, analagesia or rest. We are a testimony of the bad side effects of this. We deeply regret having the vaccine.

I believe that all the usual medicine that people used today (Tylenol, vaccines, pills to raise and lower blood pressure) treat one thing, but destroy another or not treat something, but just hide it! For example, pills to raise and lower blood pressure. A person has an unhealthy diet, his blood becomes thick, his heart can't pump the blood through the body, so the veins contract, creating higher pressure, and now the blood reaches all parts of the body. The person finds out he has high blood pressure, takes some pills, and makes his veins relax, now the pressure is lower, and the everything starts again, his heart cant pump the blood everywhere. In the end, he takes pills every two hours, his heart can't take it anymore, and the patient dies from a heart attack.
